TESTIMONIALS
David’s style of facilitation combines the unconditional acceptance of Carl Roger’s person-centered therapy, with the clarity, precision and rigor of analytic philosophy. It’s a unique combination of skills. (Peter Koestenbaum, philosopher and author of The Leadership Diamon
Philosophical Dialogue offers an opportunity to organize my thought patterns and put them to the test. It is a time to contemplate ideas which I would not have otherwise contemplated. To watch the interpersonal dynamic of the group is revealing and informative. To hear what other people are thinking is a rare privilege and even more there is the opportunity to challenge their ideas. To see people change their point of view is encouraging if not inspirational. To have this happen in an hour or two is nothing short of amazing. (Ron Reiss, Minister)
Whenever people gather to pursue a common purpose, in this case philosophical discussion, there is a synergy which I enjoy and from I which I learn and in turn by which I am energized. In some respects all of us know more than any one of us. (Lloyd Kleindinst, Ph.D., Educator)
I think it is great that we were able to study leadership from a non-contemporary perspective. Plato, Machiavelli, etc. are all giants that I think we can learn from. So often our studies are based only on recent biz cases and leaders…looking at these classic guys really helps broaden our thinking and depth. I also appreciate that you didn’t tell us what to believe, but gave us some issues to consider. In other words, it was very introspective. This really took us out of our box and out of our normal roles. (Participant in Boeing LDC Dialogues)
These are really great opportunities to get to know one another better and to talk about issues/subjects that are usually “taboo.” (Participant in Boeing LDC Dialogues)
Credit to David for drawing us out. I like the fact we get to vote on what to talk about. (Participant in Boeing LDC Dialogues)
The philosophical discussion sessions were the biggest surprise of the entire Leadership Development Course in terms of usefulness and value. (Participant in Boeing LDC Dialogues)
